Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Social Llama Cafe, a vegetarian and eggless cafe located in Toronto, Ontario. By visiting our cafe, making a reservation, placing an order (in person, online, or via third-party apps), or using our website or services, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions.


1. General Information

Social Llama Cafe is a 100% vegetarian and eggless restaurant, offering a diverse menu inspired by global flavors. While we specialize in vegetarian cuisine, we also provide a variety of vegan, plant-based, and gluten-free options to suit different dietary needs.

These Terms apply to all customers, whether dining in, ordering online, or attending events hosted at the cafe.

2. Pricing & Taxes

  • All prices are listed in Canadian Dollars (CAD).
  • Applicable taxes (HST) will be added to the final bill.
  • Prices are subject to change without prior notice.

3. Service Charge & Minimum Spend for Large Parties

To ensure fair use of space and maintain quality service in our limited seating environment:

  • A service charge of 18% will be automatically added to the final bill for dine-in parties of 6 or more.
  • A minimum spend of $25 per person applies to all large parties (6+ guests).

This service charge helps support our front-of-house team and ensures attentive service. It is not considered a direct gratuity to any individual staff member.

4. Reservations & Seating Policy

  • Walk-ins are welcome, but we recommend reservations for groups or peak hours.
  • Reserved tables will be held for 15 minutes beyond the scheduled time unless you notify us of a delay.
  • Seating arrangements are subject to availability and based on party size and service needs.

5. Allergens & Dietary Preferences

  • All food served at Social Llama Cafe is strictly vegetarian and eggless.
  • Vegan, plant-based, and gluten-free options are clearly marked on our menu.
  • Our kitchen handles common allergens including nuts, soy, gluten, and dairy.
  • While we take precautions, we cannot guarantee the complete absence of cross-contamination. Please inform our staff of any allergies before placing your order.

6. Online Orders & Delivery

  • Online ordering and delivery may be provided through third-party platforms such as Uber Eats, DoorDash, or SkipTheDishes.
  • Delivery timeframes, packaging, and fulfillment are subject to the policies of the respective platforms.
  • For issues with third-party orders, please contact the platform used directly.

7. Cancellations & No-Shows

  • For large party bookings or private reservations, a deposit may be required.
  • Cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance may result in the loss of deposit.
  • Repeated no-shows may impact your ability to make future reservations.

8. Gift Cards

  • Gift cards are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
  • Lost or stolen gift cards will not be replaced without proof of purchase.

9. Loyalty Programs and Promotions

  • Social Llama Cafe may offer stamp cards, loyalty rewards, or promotional campaigns from time to time.
  • Terms for specific programs will be clearly outlined in-store or through official communications.
  • Promotions cannot be combined unless explicitly stated.

10. Intellectual Property

All content — including our logo, menu designs, promotional materials, and website content — is the intellectual property of Social Llama Cafe and may not be reused or distributed without our written permission.

11. Limitation of Liability

Social Llama Cafe is not responsible for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our food, services, website, or third-party platforms. All services are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. The latest version will always be available on our website with the updated effective date.

Return and Refund Policy

At Social Llama Cafe, we take pride in serving fresh, high-quality vegetarian and eggless food. Your satisfaction is important to us. This policy outlines the conditions under which refunds or replacements may be provided.

1. Dine-In Orders

If you are unsatisfied with a dish while dining in:

  • Please let our staff know immediately so we can resolve the issue on the spot.
  • We may offer a replacement or adjustment at our discretion.
  • Refunds will not be issued after the meal has been substantially consumed or if concerns are raised after leaving the premises.

2Takeout & Pickup Orders

If there is an issue with your takeout order:

  • Please contact us within 1 hour of pickup by calling 647-564-4755 or emailing support@socialllama.ca.
  • You may be asked to provide a photo of the issue (e.g., incorrect or missing item).
  • We may offer a replacement, store credit, or refund depending on the situation.

3. Third-Party Delivery Orders

For orders placed through delivery platforms like Uber Eats, DoorDash, or SkipTheDishes:

  • Refunds and order issues must be handled directly through the platform used.
  • These platforms have their own refund and support policies, which we are required to follow.

4. Non-Refundable Items

We do not offer refunds on:

  • Change of mind after placing an order
  • Partially or mostly consumed food
  • Gift cards
  • Special events, pre-booked menus, or deposits unless otherwise specified

5. Catering, Pre-Orders & Deposits

For catering orders or large group bookings:

  • Cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance may result in a partial or full forfeiture of the deposit.
  • Refunds for prepaid catering orders will be considered on a case-by-case basis depending on preparation already completed.
